Mary Rose McClain is a projectionist, subtitle specialist, and germinating filmmaker in NYC.
MR searches for and creates openings between the magical and mundane, paying close attention to the ephemera of paranoia and preservation. They experiment with home-movie formats, using the zoom lens to examine power(s), textures of otherworldliness, and her grandmother’s Sicilian superstitions.
